Thomas Sullivan Audio

Thomas M. Sullivan lives in Seattle, Washington, and became "long-term unemployed" well before it became widely popular. His writing has appeared in such venues as Word Riot, 3AM Magazine, Dogmatika, and The Externalist.

Thomas is a long time teacher well acquainted with the murky and lightly regulated world of private vocational education. Following graduation from Washington State University he worked as an instructor for a company in Seattle teaching software to adults in retraining. This company blew apart fabulously following a Mommie Dearest style standoff between the mother/daughter ownership team. The next educational company Thomas worked for, was shut down following a federal investigation into student loan fraud and a class action lawsuit by former students and teachers.

Those companies you see on the evening news, the ones where students and faculty show up one day to find a hand-written note on the door, just above the padlocks? Thomas has been there and done that and lived to tell the tale again in "Life in the Slow Lane".
