In each episode we offer a brief summary of the saga and then evaluate it in our judgment section. Along the way, you'll learn random bits of trivia, snippets of scholarly discourse, and a lot about the cultural world of medieval Iceland. Â The categories covered in the Saga Thing are:
1. Best Bloodshed - who had the most brilliant death or maiming?
2. Body Count - a tally of every unnatural death in the saga
3. Notable Witticisms - an award for the wittiest bit of dialogue
4. Nicknames - a review of the best nicknames in the saga
5. Outlawry - where we put the nastier characters on trial, review their crimes, and choose one to be outlawed
6. Thingmen - we take on the role of Icelandic chieftains and each select a character who we'd want to have our back in a feud or at the Althing.
 7. Ratings - where we each offer a final assessment of the saga's quality by ranking it on a 1-10 scale.
