On 27 October, 2000, The John Adams Institute presented a lecture by psychologist and author John Gray, who spoke about his life's work and his latest book, Practical Miracles for Mars and Venus (Praktische levenslessen). Yvonne Kroonenberg moderated the evening.Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus is the almost proverbial title of the best-seller which launched Mr. Gray's successful series of books helping men and women to understand, respect and appreciate their differences. In Practical Miracles for Mars and Venus, Mr. Gray has broadened his scope from love relationships to all inter-human relationships, from friends to colleagues, from neighbors to team members. Gray is regarded internationally as an expert in the field of communication, relationships and personal growth. He received his doctorate in pyschology and human sexuality from Columbia Pacific University in 1982 and has conducted seminars all over the world for the past 30 years. He is also a family therapist and a member of various counseling associations.
