The Cannabis Question Documentary on Free Online Video

This new documentary from the popular PBS science program NOVA examines many of the questions that cannabis poses as it has become legal to the majority of the American population. The first half of the documentary deals largely with CBD and its potential treatment for epilepsy and autism. As CBD has recently become legalized federally it is now being studied on a larger scale in double blind studies to determine its efficacy for a variety of treatments. The second half of the documentary looks at some of the benefits and potential dangers of using marijuana regularly when it contains THC (the psychoactive compound in cannabis that produces the high sensation). While pointing out possible treatments for PTSD, chronic pain, and anxiety, the documentary also questions the use of cannabis while pregnant or when the brain is still developing from childhood through young adulthood. Ultimately The Cannabis Question poses a lot more questions than it answers as researchers struggle to study a drug that is still illegal in many states and at the federal level.
