Here's a special new release from L.A. Theatre Works entitled 8: A New Play by Dustin Lance Black. The play is written by Dustin Lance Black who wrote the screenplay for the film Milk and it's directed by American movie director Rob Reiner. The cast is the most star-studded ensemble of any L.A. Theatre Works production featuring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Martin Sheen, Kevin Bacon, Jamie Lee Curtis, Christine Lahti, John C. Reilly, Jane Lynch, George Takei, and many other great actors.
The play brings to life the Perry v. Schwarzenegger trial which overturned California's Proposition 8 on February 7, 2012, ruling that the 2008 California ballot initiative restricting marriage of opposite-sex couples was unconstitutional. The play was recorded at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre on March 3, 2012 and was just released on YouTube.
