The Last Moguls (1986) Documentary on Free Online Video

In this one-hour BBC Omnibus documentary director Christopher Sykes acts mostly as a fly on the wall as Cannon co-owner Menahem Golan wheels and deals new films for his prolific independent film production company. Golan is on the phones in their Beverly Hills offices, he's making deals at the American Film Market, and he's on the set directing his film The Delta Force (1986). (1985), Death Wish 3 (1985), The Naked Cage (1986), Invaders from Mars (1986), The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1986), 52 Pick-Up (1986), Duet for One (1986), Street Smart (1987), and many more. There are some great interviews with directors like John Frankenheimer, Franco Zeffirelli, and Michael Winner, along with stars like Julie Andrews, Lee Marvin, and Chuck Norris. Most of the film is watching the magic of Menahem Golan at work and it's very entertaining. This is a must-see documentary for Cannon Film fans, covering that brief window of time when Menahem Golan and his cousin Yoram Globus were making twenty movies a year in the 1980s and taking Hollywood by storm!
