The Bhagavad Gita is one of the primary sacred Hindu religious texts and has been cherished for generations as a guide for proper living. The Gita is a part of the Ancient Indian epic known as the Mahabarata, and is comprised of a conversation between the archer Arjuna and the divine teacher Krishna. This edition was translated by Mohandas K. Gandhi to his native language of Gujurati in 1929, and then translated into English by Gandhi's personal secretary Mahadev Desai.
