In this course you will learn about:
- Hinduism as perhaps the most diverse religion of all
- arranged marriages and the caste system
- a wealth of gods, terms, and practices—karma, Krishna, yoga, guru—that have found a home in Western lives and languages
- the Indus Valley Civilization;
- sacred writings in the Vedas, the Bhagavad-gita, and the Upanishads; ritual purity rites; and the Aryan language of Sanskrit
- Hinduism’s rejection of the notion that there is but one path to the divine.
