Simon Winchester on The Men Who United the States Video Talk

Simon Winchester is the author of over 20 books including bestsellers such as The Professor and the Madman and The Map That Changed the World. His latest book is The Men Who United the States: America's Explorers, Inventors, Eccentrics and Mavericks, and the Creation of One Nation, Indivisible. Winchester just gave a talk on this book at the Politics and Prose bookstore. In this talk, he discusses how he came up with the idea for the book and how he structured it. He also talks about many of the men featured in the book, such as the people who brought electricity to the entire USA, and the folks who started radio broadcasting. It's an interesting talk from this prolific nonfiction author.
