Description
Little Nell is a young girl who lives in her grandfather's struggling shop. The old man has a weakness for gambling and needs to borrow money from the evil, moneylending dwarf, Quilp, in order to stay in business. After losing that money, he and Nell desperately flee into the country, aided by his faithful errand boy, Kit Nubbles. But Quilp has designs on Nell and believes that the grandfather is really a rich miser, and tries to frame Kit for robbery in an effort to capture them.
