This video is a conversation with Jack Welch, the former CEO of General Electric Corporation. Jack discusses his book and as a part of that, his management style. He's a very animated speaker and his delivery is easy to listen to and engaging. He details how he chooses his top executives and how he motivates them. Jack makes a point that management decisions need to be based on real life numbers and a very good understanding of what the competition is doing. He explains how he excites his management team and approves the things they are not good at. He states that the goal of the CEO is to build a great team that is filled with smart people and not be the smartest person in the room. There are many other gems in this lecture and this is a one-hour video that would be useful to a manager at any level of a corporation.
